Location: Laurel
- Support implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems
- Manage daily configuration and operation of IT systems
- Assist users in accessing and using IT systems
- Support day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices
- Support escalation and communicate status to agency management and internal customers
- Optimize system operations and resource utilization
- Perform system capacity analysis and planning
- Troubleshoot IT systems in depth
- Provide detailed analysis and feedback for escalated tickets
- Maintain database integrity, security, and availability
- Administer, maintain, and implement database security and integrity policies and procedures
- Organize and format data for efficient query and storage processes
- Establish and maintain database user accounts
- Perform disaster recovery, performance analysis and tuning, index maintenance, and data monitoring
- Evaluate requirements and recommend available DBMS products
- Perform database and software life-cycle activities to ensure system performance and availability
- Provide server administration for Oracle, SQL Server, and SYBASE databases
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required and ten (10) years' experience as a SA
- Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
- Must have SQL and Active Directory experience
- U.S. Citizen
- Active TS/SCI Security Clearance with a Polygraph
- Experience supporting Linux, UNIX, and Windows platforms
- Database experience with Oracle, SQL Server, and SYBASE
- Experience with database security, integrity, availability, user accounts, disaster recovery, performance analysis and tuning, index maintenance, and monitoring of data
- Experience with server administration and DBMS products
Demonstrates expertise in managing and supporting IT systems, with a strong focus on database administration, security, and performance optimization. Proficient in troubleshooting and maintaining systems across various platforms, ensuring integrity and availability of data.
