Basic Requirements:

14 years experience as a system engineer
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
- 5 additional years of experience as a system engineer may be substituted for a degree

Job Description:

Daily troubleshooting of Linux, Windows, Red Hat 6, 7, 8, and 9 Operating Systems
Providing Ubuntu support
Oversee cross-platform virtual machine life cycles across Linux hypervisor environments (possibly Windows), optimizing resource allocation and compute capacity.
Maintain and manage various versions of Open Stack across multi-region deployments
Troubleshoot issues across Agency GOTS Open Stack platforms
Write and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible and Puppet
May include developing end-to-end Python and Bash scripts to automate daily operational tasks, reduce manual toil, and streamline system provisioning workflows
Manage YUM repos (GOTS repository management)
Utilize Naemon and Grafana diagnostic tooling to execute systemic performance analysis and proactively address health degraded states.

Required Experience:

Open Stack experience
Linux experience to include:
Red Hat 6, 7, 8, and 9
Experience with Grafana and Naemon
Virtual Machine – Hypervisor
Ansible and Puppet

Preferred Qualifications:

Machine Shop experience
Hypervisor virtual machine experience
Python development language
Understanding of Return-to-Service (RTS) protocols
Familiarity with Pagent and Putty
Python development language
Bash scripting
