AiRISTA develops Real-Time Location System (RTLS) solutions that combine software, hardware, wireless technologies, and analytics to help organizations monitor and manage assets, people, and workflows.

As a Test Engineer, you will support the testing and validation of AiRISTA’s integrated hardware and software platform. This is a hands‑on, in‑office role responsible for maintaining test environments, preparing hardware, executing test procedures, reproducing customer issues, and supporting engineering through product development and release validation.

Working closely with QA, Software Engineering, Support, and Product Management, you will help ensure our hardware and software solutions are thoroughly tested and customer ready.

• Maintain and organize the engineering test lab.
• Configure and maintain test environments including servers, access points, tags, sensors, gateways, mobile devices, and supporting hardware.
• Prepare equipment for software development, QA, and customer issue reproduction.
• Track and maintain inventory of test equipment and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed.

• Execute manual hardware and software test plans.
• Perform regression testing for new releases and firmware updates.
• Verify bug fixes and document test results.
• Assist with installation, upgrade, and release validation activities.
• Identify and clearly document defects using Jira.

• Reproduce reported issues in a controlled lab environment.
• Collect logs, screenshots, packet captures, and other diagnostic information.
• Assist engineers in isolating hardware, networking, firmware, and software issues.
• Validate fixes before being released to customers.

• Assist Software Engineering and QA with day‑to‑day testing activities.
• Configure and reset environments for feature development and validation.
• Help improve repeatability of test procedures and lab setup.
• Contribute ideas for improving testing efficiency and automation where appropriate.

Associate or bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Electronics, or related technical field is preferred. Equivalent hands‑on experience will also be considered.

• 1–3 years of experience in technical support, IT, QA, systems testing, networking, or hardware validation.
• Experience working with computer hardware, networking equipment, or IoT devices is preferred.
• Experience executing structured test procedures and documenting results.
• Comfortable troubleshooting both software and hardware issues.

Experience with some of the following is preferred:

• Windows administration
• Basic TCP/IP networking
• Wi‑Fi configuration and troubleshooting
• Android and/or iOS devices
• Microsoft SQL Server
• Wireshark
• Jira
• Microsoft Office
• Experience with scripting, test automation, or programming is a plus, but not required.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to document defects clearly and communicate findings to engineers and other stakeholders.

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Detail‑oriented with a methodical approach to testing.
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced engineering environment.
