Job Description

Join a dynamic team dedicated to supplier management and communication, where your expertise will play a pivotal role in creating and managing purchase orders, onboarding new vendors, and resolving supply issues. This position requires a deep understanding of procurement processes within the manufacturing and electrical supply industries.

Responsibilities

+ Manage and communicate with suppliers to ensure a smooth supply chain process.

+ Create intercompany purchase orders as needed and track Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) purchase orders.

+ Delegate incoming orders from daily ordering plans and maintain the  Purchasing workspace.

+ Onboard new vendors and manage purchase orders effectively.

+ Collaborate with the receiving team to identify unmarked deliveries and resolve supply issues.

+ Review and approve purchase orders, resolving errors and discrepancies in partnership with accounts payable and receiving.

+ Manage key suppliers and conduct accounting payment hold reviews.

+ Attend and contribute to purchasing meetings.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum of 5 years of purchasing experience, with a preference for 8-10 years.

+ Experience in the manufacturing or electrical supply industry.

+ Proficiency in ERP systems, with Net Suite preferred.

+ Strong skills in purchasing, procurement, and vendor negotiation.

Skills & Qualifications

+

Experience with SAP and supply chain management is advantageous.

Work Environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Hanover, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
