Located in Largo in the heart of Prince George’s County, our state‑of‑the‑art regional medical center (University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center) will provide improved access to primary and ambulatory care services and serve as a tertiary care center for critically ill patients. In addition, our new space will allow us to expand our offerings as a community partner to help improve the health status of Prince George’s County residents.
PositionSummary
Ensures timely delivery of appropriate supplies and linen to assigned inventories at hospital and/or satellite locations.
Primary Responsibilities- Stock, inventory, requisition and issue hospital goods to and from the main storeroom(s).
- Inventory, re‑stock and manage sufficient inventory/linen levels in designated areas according to calculated PAR levels.
- Create pick lists according to the defined process, pick goods from indicated locations, and deliver to designated areas.
- Place goods with accuracy in bins, drawers, and racks, identifying part and stored location.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all supply/linen issues for assigned end‑users.
- Proactively maintain assigned storage areas by performing all associated tasks including, but not limited to: working with the Materials Manager to adjust PAR levels based on usage/volume/forecasts/etc, removing
boxes/packing materials/loose items from the area, replacing incorrectly located supplies into correct bins, rotating stock and checking for out‑dates, etc
- Perform cycle counts of inventory locations when assigned.
- Distribute incoming and outgoing mail per procedure.
- Troubleshoot minor problems with copy equipment in self‑serve mail room and notify vendor for unresolved repairs.
- Perform inter‑facility courier duties as assigned.
1-3 years of related experience preferred
Working experience with hospital supplies preferred. Prior use of automated inventory and purchasing system preferred.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Strong customer service ability strongly preferred.

Compensation- Pay Range: $17.00-$27.12
