Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Building Maintenance
SUMMARY
Perform general maintenance, janitorial level cleaning and lead removal cleaning.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Perform general maintenance on equipment and machinery.
- Empty trash cans, sweep and mop floors, dust furniture and equipment.
- Inspect and clean or replace HVAC filters.
- Complete sweep down, cleanup and sanitize the training facilities.
- Operating a wet machine power scrubbing concrete range floor.
- Empty bullet trap buckets and cleaning maintenance of the bullet traps and floors.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Any combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described including related work experience in one or more of the building trades.
- Two (2) years of experience in maintenance services.
- Must be able to use hand power tools.
- Must have complete or have the ability to complete the following OHSA and EPA Programs:
- Safe Lead Cleaning Work Practices and Procedures
- Lead Exposure Control Plan
- Hazard Communications Program
- Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response
- Personal Protective Equipment
- Hearing Conservation Program
- Respiratory Protection Program
- Materials Handling and Storage
- Walking And Working Surfaces
- Forklifts, Power Industrial Trucks
- Lock Out – Tag Out
- Scissor Lifts Fall Protection
- Workspace and Housekeeping
- Machinery and Equipment
- Aisles & Means-of-Egres
- Must be a United States citizen (no dual citizenship).
- Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Has basic computer skills and can learn new systems.
- Prioritize task and manage time to meet deadlines.
Full-time. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project.

WORK ENVIRONMENTWork is primarily performed outdoors but may also be performed in a maintenance facility as well as in outdoor military training areas. Work is often performed in adverse conditions including inclement weather such as high humidity, heat, cold, high wind, rain, and various local conditions. Employee may be exposed to sharp objects and may be exposed to some heat, loud noise, chemicals, lead and vibration.
Katmai strictly adheres to the Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHA) regulations. Use of personal protective equipment is mandatory if applicable. Employee will be exposed to a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities and abilities.
Position consists of standing for long periods of time, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and lifting boxes weighing up to 50 pounds. Frequently uses hands/fingers for handling, to work with such hand tools. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS PACKAGE- Pay range: $26.68 per hour.
