Position: ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT MAKER INSTALLER \u0026 REPAIRER SUPERVISOR with Security Clearance
Location: Andrews AFB

Duties
* Performs work planning responsibilities.

* Reviews all projects assigned to the unit for engineering and technical adherence to standards.
* Performs administration responsibilities.

* Direct Deposit:

* The work may require the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid driver's license may be required for the position.
* The work may require occasional travel away from duty location to perform mission essential tasks, attend maintenance seminars, training or provide maintenance assistance to supported organizations.
* A bachelor's degree in an electronics technical field with five years specialized experience or 10 years equivalent experience is desirable.
* Employee must be able to attain and maintain a Top Secret/ Specialized Compartmental Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.
* This is a Mission-Essential position performing a Mission-Critical-Function which must continue uninterrupted after the occurrence of an emergency and continued through full resumption of all functions.
* The duty of this position meets all requirements as a category 4 designation and shall not be vacated during a national emergency
* or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the parent Federal Agency or office to function effectively.
* This position must be removed from the Ready Reserve and CAN NOT become a member of the Ready Reserve. (IAW: DoDD 1200.7, "Screening the Ready Reserve,")
* This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.
* Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety. Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the quality level of experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards Handbook X-118C.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standard Handbook X-118C for the WG-2600 Electronic Equipment Installation and Maintenance Family. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.

Qualification requirements emphasis is on the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. The screen out element for this position is the ability to do the work of an ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT MAKER, INSTALLER, & REPAIRER SUPERVISOR without more than normal supervision. JOB ELEMENTS:
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of a wide range of principles, processes, and techniques of trade(s) and/or craft(s) supervised and personnel management policies, practices, and procedures, including sexual harassment and Equal Employment Opportunity/ Equal Employment Treatment.
2. Expert knowledge of safety regulations, practices, and procedures.
3. Expert in technologies including high frequency radio communications systems, ultrahigh frequency and line-of site satellite communications systems, antenna systems including transmission theory, telephone systems, radio frequency propagation, and cryptographies systems. Expert in lightning protection, grounding, bonding shielding of electronic systems and networks. Knowledge of the use and maintenance of hand and power tools, equipment, and precision measuring and/or test equipment common to trades supervised.

4. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, sketches, and technical specifications. Knowledge of MIL STD 124B, Grounding, Bonding. And Shielding for Common Long Haul/Tactical Communication Systems including Ground Based Communications-Electronics Facilities and Equipment and MIL HDBK 419A, Grounding, Bonding, and Shielding for Electronic Equipment and Facilities.
5. Ability to plan and organize work assignments to include determining resources required to accomplish mission.
6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. PART-TIME OR UNPAID
