Janitor, Maintenance​/Cleaning, Facility Maintenance

The Janitor is responsible for providing comprehensive custodial and facility cleaning services in support of daily operations at the Manned Flight Simulator Facility. This position ensures that designated work spaces, common areas, and facility amenities are maintained in a clean, sanitary, safe, and professional condition consistent with established facility standards and applicable Department of Defense (DoD) requirements.

• Perform routine cleaning and general custodial services throughout designated facility areas.
• Sweep, vacuum, and maintain floors to ensure cleanliness and minimize potential safety hazards.
• Collect, remove, and properly dispose of trash and waste materials from designated receptacles.
• Clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms, including replenishing paper products, soap, and other necessary supplies.
• Clean and sanitize countertops, sinks, and other surfaces within employee break areas.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and professional appearance throughout assigned work spaces and common areas.

• Mop and maintain hallway, stairwell, and other designated hard-surface flooring.
• Clean and polish tables, desktops, and furniture surfaces in visitor reception areas and conference rooms.
• Clean interior windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors to maintain a professional facility appearance.
• Clean and polish door handles, fixtures, and associated hardware.
• Dust, clean, and maintain lobbies, common areas, conference rooms, utility rooms, and other designated facility spaces.
• Perform detailed cleaning of frequently used areas to support facility cleanliness and sanitation standards.

• Respond to and clean spills or other unexpected conditions requiring immediate custodial attention.
• Perform periodic floor maintenance, including stripping, waxing, and buffing tile surfaces, as directed.
• Shampoo and deep-clean carpets using appropriate cleaning equipment and materials.
• Provide additional custodial support for special facility requirements, scheduled maintenance activities, and other assigned cleaning operations.

• Previous experience performing custodial, janitorial, or commercial facility cleaning services preferred.
• Working knowledge of standard cleaning methods, sanitation practices, and custodial equipment.
• Ability to work independently, manage assigned responsibilities, and maintain consistent standards of cleanliness.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to maintaining a safe and professional work environment.
• Ability to comply with applicable government facility access, identification, and security requirements.

Salary Range $23.99 - $25.00 per hour and will commensurate with experience
