Safety & Compliance Manager
We are seeking an experienced Safety & Compliance Manager to lead and manage all safety and regulatory compliance programs across trucking and warehouse operations. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with FMCSA, DOT, OSHA, and applicable state and local regulations while promoting a strong culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do- Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide safety policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA, DOT, OSHA, and applicable regulations
- Serve as the primary liaison during audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews
- Oversee driver qualification files, MVRs, ELD/HOS compliance, and CSA scores
- Administer the DOT drug & alcohol testing program (pre-employment, random, post-accident, etc.)
- Conduct safety audits, accident investigations, and root-cause analysis
- Develop and deliver safety training, including new-hire orientation and refresher training
- Track incidents, implement corrective actions, and monitor safety performance metrics
- Ensure OSHA compliance for warehouse and terminal operations
- Partner with Operations, HR, leadership, and third-party safety vendors
- Travel to terminals and attend required safety or insurance meetings as needed
- 3+ years of safety and/or compliance management experience in trucking or transportation
- Strong working knowledge of FMCSA, DOT, and OSHA regulations
- Experience managing fleet operations, audits, and accident investigations
- Familiarity with ELD systems, driver qualification processes, and DOT testing programs
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Transportation, Business, or related field preferred
- Forklift certification required
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background and drug screening
- Starting salary: $77,000 annually (paid weekly)
