Role Description

This is a full‑time, on‑site role located in North East, MD, for a 5 Axis Milling Machine Operator. The role involves operating 5‑axis computer numerical control (CNC) milling machines, preparing and setting up machinery, and tool and fixture calibration. The candidate will interpret technical blueprints, perform quality checks, troubleshoot issues, and ensure efficient machine operation while adhering to safety standards. Routine maintenance of machinery and tools to optimize performance and longevity is also required.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency with operating 5‑axis CNC milling machines, setting up tools and fixtures, and machining complex components.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical blueprints, drawings, and engineering specifications.
  • Experience in quality control, measurement tools, and ensuring precision in machined components.
  • Problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills to address machining errors or equipment issues.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and adherence to best practices in an industrial setting.
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow strict timelines.
  • Previous experience in machining or manufacturing environments preferred; relevant certifications are a plus.
