Position: Wiring Technician (Assembly focused)
Location: Chester

Position Summary

The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for supporting production operations within the Manufacturing Department, with a focus on electrical and electronic systems used in specialized industrial equipment. This role involves assembly, wiring, testing, and documentation to ensure high-quality production standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform manufacturing and assembly tasks including cables, ignition bulbs, screens, and various component assemblies
  • Execute basic machine wiring techniques such as cutting, terminating, soldering, and crimping wire
  • Assemble electronic components and devices according to product specifications and blueprints
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment to complete builds
  • Assemble and wire lamp housings and related components
  • Prepare and kit electronic parts and assemblies
  • Conduct low-level testing and complete associated production documentation
  • Follow established work instructions and safety procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Develop knowledge and skills to support advancement within the electromechanical assembly function
Qualifications Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma required
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant manufacturing or production experience
  • Technical training or an associate degree in Electronics preferred
  • Experience working with electrical or electronic systems strongly preferred
Skills & Abilities
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and electronic test equipment
  • Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Intermediate math skills, including use of fractions, decimals, and the metric system
  • Ability to interpret basic blueprints and follow written instructions
  • Good visual acuity, including color differentiation
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and work at elevated heights when required
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams

$18 - $23 an hour
