The Role
The Operator II plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of machinery and equipment within the production or processing environment. This position requires a thorough understanding of operational procedures and the ability to monitor systems to maintain optimal performance. The Operator II is responsible for identifying and troubleshooting issues, performing routine maintenance, and adhering to safety and quality standards.
This role contributes directly to meeting production targets and maintaining product quality, thereby supporting overall business objectives. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to continuously improve operational processes.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment operating machinery or equipment.
- Basic understanding of safety protocols and operational procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and operational manuals.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Certification in equipment operation or industrial safety.
- Experience with computerized control systems or automated machinery.
- Familiarity with quality control processes and standards.
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Operate and monitor machinery and equipment according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Identify, report, and troubleshoot operational issues promptly to maintain continuous production flow.
- Maintain accurate records of operational activities, including production data, maintenance logs, and incident reports.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to implement process improvements and adhere to quality standards.
The required skills enable the Operator II to effectively manage and operate complex machinery while maintaining safety and quality standards. Attention to detail and the ability to follow detailed instructions ensure consistent and reliable production output.
