Production Manager

The Production Supervisor position is responsible for coordinating and assigning the activities of production workers, ensuring production targets are met, maintaining quality standards, and driving P&L results. The role supervises production operations within an assigned area or during assigned shifts.
Shift & Pay1st shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday
Hourly Pay: $21.42 + 15% differential = $24.63
Duties & Responsibilities- Supervises workers operating production machinery, assembling items, performing quality control, or packaging goods for shipment.
- Schedules and assigns tasks to workers, troubleshoots issues, and implements improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Responsible for meeting or surpassing daily Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), with accurate reporting consistently exceeding customer expectations.
- Delivers clear and concise information during shift transition meetings, ensuring the next shift is prepared for success.
- Provides first level of support for any escalated issue during the work shift.
- Maintains consistent production quality by monitoring departmental performance metrics.
- Communicates effectively with management and customers to ensure SLAs are met and issues are promptly resolved.
- Engages in employee relations initiatives, promptly addressing and resolving employee concerns to maintain a positive work environment.
- Assists in P&L forecasting and analysis, alongside labor planning and scheduling.
- Prepares and administers daily performance feedback and reporting as required.
- Coordinates the flow of work through the department and ensures sufficient inventory levels meet demand and staffing is appropriate.
- Provides training, motivation, and support to employees regarding company and departmental procedures, development opportunities, and departmental processes.
- Ensures compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards to maintain a safe working environment for employees and visitors.
- All other duties assigned based on the business the warehouse supports.
- 1+ years of leadership experience; preference for materials/distribution environment.
- Capable problem‑solving skills and decision‑making capabilities, demonstrating a strategic approach with a focus on achieving results and fostering continuous improvement.
- Detail‑oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities, demonstrating effective verbal and written communication.
- Capacity to engage with customers in a professional manner.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Previous experience in a high‑volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service (e.g., testing and repair), or forward logistics operation.
- Experience supervising temporary staff.
- Experience working with UKG and Kronos.
- General knowledge of OSHA Standards.
- Associate degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
