Material Handlers/Powered Equipment Operators help deliver safe, high‑quality food by performing essential production tasks and supporting coworkers. Your reliability, attention to detail, and strong work ethic help meet our standards for safety, quality, and teamwork.

What You'll Do

Work with forklifts, jack lifts, high lifts, and powered industrial trucks to support movement of product throughout the facility. These positions require specific certifications during the qualification period and may involve physically demanding work.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

All applicants must be at least 18 years of age and able to perform the following:

  • Understand and follow oral and written instructions
  • Perform tasks requiring continuous or repetitive movement, including grasping, pinching, flexing, and extending arms
  • Stand on concrete or platforms for up to a 12‑hour shift
  • Work around animal blood, carcass parts, and in cold (20‑40°F) or hot (over 100°F) areas
  • Work in a wet and humid environment and while wearing hard hats, hearing/eye protection, and steel‑toed safety shoes
  • Work in a noisy environment using personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Work with sanitation or cleaning chemicals and manage strong odors
  • Climb or move on ladders, steps, stairways, walkways, and platforms
  • Bend, stoop, and twist repetitively throughout a shift
  • Walk long distances
  • May require certification to operate equipment
  • Perform repetitive overhead lifting of up to 30 lbs, single lifting of heavy objects up to 60 lbs, and other lifting tasks using mechanical assistance
  • Have specific vision abilities including close and distance vision and the ability to adjust focus
