What the role is about:
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Packaging Technician Lead to join our growing dynamic team! The ideal candidate will be driven, innovative, compassionate, believe in the goodness of people and cannabis, and enjoys the one team, one dream motto. The Packaging Technician will assist the manufacturing team in the production, packaging, and labeling of cannabis‑based medicines. This position reports directly to the Production Manager.
Whatimpact you'll make:
- Assists the Production Manager in organizing daily activities of the Packaging Techs in the Packaging Department.
- Assists the Production Manager in setting up and organizing daily activities for the optimal performance of the Packaging Department.
- Reports to the Production Manager on all activities within the department to review potential improvements or adjustments to operational / growth plans.
- Ensures packaging techs are meeting quality specifications for proper packaging, labeling, and workmanship.
- Ensures packaging techs are adhering to company SOPs.
- Ensures the packaging team adheres to a rigorous schedule ensuring actions are done accurately and in a timely manner.
- Manages inventory in the Seed to Sale system based on completion of packaging tasks.
- Assists the Production Manager with managing packaging stock, and advises the Production Manager of required re‑orders.
- Maintains the cleanliness and organization of all assigned areas.
- Reports any production issues or quality defects to the Production Manager.
- Able to work independently as well as operating as part of a team.
- Adhere to strict sanitation practices throughout the facility.
- All other duties as required by the Packaging Tech job description.
- Other duties as assigned to ensure smooth operation of the packaging department.
- One year of experience in manufacturing or related field required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees in the organization.
Ability to communicate orally with management and other co‑workers is crucial. Regular use of the telephone and e‑mail for communication may be required. Sitting or standing for extended periods is common. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents. Some heavy lifting may be required. Exertion of up to 50 lbs.

The job is performed indoors. Appropriate PPE will be provided. Activities include extended periods of sitting.
