Production Manager
What you will experience in this role
- Supervise and lead a team of production employees to achieve production targets and maintain high standards of quality.
- Handle daily performance through the use of process center communication boards.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment for all employees, emphasizing prevention of potential problems and hazardous conditions, and support nVent’s safety programs.
- Monitor production schedules and adjust as needed to meet customer demands and deadlines.
- Train, coach, and evaluate production team members to enhance their skills and productivity.
- Review and submit payroll hours on a weekly basis, entering exception hours as needed.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide solutions to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, logistics, and quality control, to streamline operations and ensure a seamless workflow.
- Partner with human resources on employee relations to ensure accurate procedures and practices are followed.
- Document and maintain production records, including work orders, inventory levels, and production reports.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes, reduce waste, and increase overall productivity.
- Ideally 5 years manufacturing experience, with a preference for manufacturing leadership experience preferred.
- Ideally 2 years of experience in Lean manufacturing, with a strong ability to articulate and apply Lean concepts and methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of production processes, machinery, and equipment.
Compensation Range: $62,900.00 – $. Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
