Production Supervisor

At Niagara, we’re looking for team members who want to help achieve our mission of providing our customers the highest quality, most affordable bottled water.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and direct activities of the assigned shift, ensuring products meet Niagara’s safety, quality, and throughput standards.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with team members through open communication, visibility, and involvement to promote a positive environment.
  • Analyze the production schedule before the shift starts and adjust team member assignments to meet production targets; verify discrete jobs in Oracle (including quality and bill of materials), the Warehouse Management System, and/or the Line Management System.
  • Coach and develop team members, make employment decisions, and resolve issues through conflict resolution. Hire, train, coach, and review performance of team members; partner with Human Resources and the Production Manager for recruitment, corrective actions, and terminations.
  • Inspect raw materials before changeovers to ensure correct inventories for production runs; perform first‑pass quality checks after changeovers to prevent non‑conforming product.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance to resolve downtime occurrences on the production lines.
  • Complete shift reports for production numbers, downtime, attendance, overtime, and quality checks for submission to the Production Manager.
  • Conduct walkthroughs throughout the shift to ensure safety, quality, and housekeeping compliance.
  • Interface with multiple departments within the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.
  • Participate in interviews with hiring managers.
  • Collaborate with plant leadership and shift team members to champion a world‑class safety culture.
  • Conduct weekly safety talk trainings, daily safety/quality/production meetings, and hourly safety walks.
  • Adhere to the highest standards of company and plant safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations.
  • Abide by Niagara’s Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety Standards at all times; develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
  • Suggest changes in working conditions and equipment use to increase shift efficiency.
  • Monitor and review team members’ time and attendance for accuracy; use the Efficiency Improvement Tools to understand and comment on line downtime and communicate appropriately per the escalation plan.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • Work 12‑hour shifts, day or night, on a rotating 2‑2‑3 schedule or as dictated by production demand.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment, or the position, or in managing people/projects.
  • Understanding of production processes and controls.
