Position OverviewThe Maintenance Mechanic Helper supports the maintenance and production teams by starting, monitoring, and assisting with production equipment. This is an entry-level, hands-on role ideal for someone looking to gain experience in food manufacturing and industrial maintenance.
Available Shifts- 1st Shift: Tuesday– Saturday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: Tuesday – Saturday | 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
- Start up and shut down production machines according to procedures
- Monitor equipment during operation to ensure proper performance
- Assist maintenance mechanics with basic repairs and preventive maintenance
- Respond to minor equipment issues and escalate when needed
- Keep work areas clean and organized
- Follow all safety procedures (PPE, LOTO awareness)
- Support production needs and communicate issues to supervisors
- Follow all GMP, food safety, and sanitation standards
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
- Mechanical aptitude or interest in hands-on work
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong reliability and attention to detail
- Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or production environments
- Basic knowledge of tools or machinery
- Interest in growing into a Maintenance Mechanic role
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (E-Verify required)
- Ability to commute or relocate to Laurel, MD
