Job Summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Materials Processor for Sykesville, Maryland. The role involves performing manual and clerical shipping duties, utilizing computer systems for tracking and reporting, and preparing materials for shipment. Responsibilities include carpentry and woodworking tasks, maintaining inventory, and handling hazardous materials.

• Perform manual and clerical shipping duties.
• Use computer systems to track, log, verify, and report shipping activities.
• Follow shipping practices and procedures and prepare materials for shipment.
• Repair and maintain wooden structures, pallets, and boxes in an industrial environment using blueprints, drawings, and oral instructions.
• Perform rough to finished carpentry work.
• Operate woodworking tools such as electrical saws, nail guns, routers, drills, planers, lathes, jointers, and sanders.
• Calculate shop computations related to dimensions and select necessary materials.
• Maintain an inventory of materials in the shop for continual use.
• Prepare items for shipment, including routine crating and packaging.
• Determine packaging requirements from training specifications and knowledge of materials.
• Prepare and ship regulated hazardous materials.

• High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in shipping, receiving, distribution, inventory management, or warehouse operations.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• U.S. citizenship.

• Experience with SAP or similar ERP software.

On-site at the Northrop Grumman facility in Sykesville, MD. Relocation assistance not available. No travel required.

Clearance required:

Secret.

Salary range: $44,825.00 – $98,131.00 (based on scope, responsibilities, and experience).
