Job DescriptionGlia Cell is seeking a Senior Dev Ops Engineer / Team Lead on one of our subcontracts. This is a full‑time position offering the opportunity to support a U.S. Government customer. The mission is to provide technical expertise that assists in sustaining critical mission‑related software and systems to a large government contract.
Responsibilities- Provide a reliable, highly available platform that orchestrates the microservices of a modernized operational system utilizing cutting‑edge technologies.
- Architect infrastructure leveraging AWS technologies and services.
- Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) and scripting to automate tasks, provision managed services, and build tools, using languages such as Python, Ansible, and Terraform.
- Install, configure, and provide performance tuning for containerization technologies including Kubernetes, EKS, ECS, Docker, Docker Compose, etc.
- Perform high‑level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, cost analysis, implementation, and complex issue resolutions.
- Evaluate cloud infrastructure costs iteratively, recommend cost‑saving measures, and reduce AWS services costs.
- Decompose sprint priorities and generate tickets to align with internal team priorities.
- Manage team tasking and sprint workloads, keeping the team on task and executing in an orchestrated manner.
- Track ticket execution while driving technical direction of the infrastructure to align with program and product needs.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines to automate building, testing, and deploying code using Git Lab runners and Argo CD.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members and stakeholders.
- Possess an active or re‑statable TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
- Active Top Secret clearance with polygraph (CI within the last 7 years).
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Professional or educational experience: at least 12 years and Bachelor’s degree, or 10 years and Master’s degree, or 14 years and Associate’s degree, or 16 years and high school diploma.
- Current Security+CE certificate.
- Current CWIP (DoD 8140) certificate.
- Works well independently as well as on a team.
- Strong communication skills.
- Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure including EC2, Lambdas, S3, SNS, SQS, Event Bridge, Athena, Step Functions using Terraform and auto‑scaling.
- Understanding of AWS networking principles, including VPCs, NATs, IP Gateways.
- Develop and manage Git Lab CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and ensure system uptime.
- Experience with Kubernetes focusing on EKS, ECS, and/or Fargate.
Annapolis Junction, MD. The position allows little to no work from home and requires a significant portion or all work to be performed in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF).
Salary RangeThe salary range for this full‑time position is $200,000 to $280,000. Sign‑on bonus eligible.
