Overview
The Pre-Commissioning Technician III is responsible for supporting the pre-commissioning department in the startup and repair of equipment and systems. They are helping develop newer talent through direct mentorship of other technicians. The tasks and duties are building upon individual equipment knowledge to develop more holistic system knowledge.
Responsibilities- Startup
- The individual is responsible for starting up less complex equipment; assisting higher level technicians with complex equipment and systems, gathering product info (Model #'s, Serial #'s, Belt, filter sizes).
- Diagnose and Repair
- The individual is assisting more senior technicians troubleshooting problems and repairing them.
- Support for Operations
- The individual is assisting with system flushing, TAB, setting PRV's, maintaining belts, greasing bearings and motors before turnover.
- Review of Submittal Documents
- The individual is verifying equipment on job and submittal match voltage/amps/HP/etc.
- Mentoring of Other Employees
- The individual is not expected to provide direct mentoring to other employees, either within, or outside of the department
- After Hours Work
- The individual works overtime on occasion.
- 20 hours of continued education.
- 5+ years' experience.
- EPA 608 Certification.
- OSHA 30 certification.
- NFPA 70 certification.
- Exposure to more complex system concepts and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Ability to develop the following skills through mentorship, continuing education and hands-on activity:
- Safety Habits.
- Copper Tube Brazing.
- Soft Skills.
- Time Management.
- Troubleshooting System Knowledge.
- Hydronic Systems.
- VRF Systems.
- Chiller Operation.
- Learning and development is central to being a Pre-Commissioning Technician.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors.
- Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.
- N/A
- 0-5% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.
- Work Attire
- NFPA 70 complaint uniform (1 sets will be provided by the company, and replaced annually)
- Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles.
- Climbing stairs.
- Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- Operating machinery and/or power tools.
- Outdoor elements such as precipitation, heat, cold, and/or wind.
- Noisy environment.
- Light to heavy work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects from 20-100 pounds.

Pay RangeUSD $27.92 - USD $37.29 /Hr.
