Eaton’s FFD Fluid Filtration Division is currently seeking a Machine Operator – 2nd Shift onsite at our Williamsport, MD facility.
The hourly rate for this position is $19.00 + $0.35 shift differential per hour. Second shift hours are 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
What You’ll Do- Start up and operate plastic extrusion manufacturing equipment
- Manufacture products ranging from custom plastic extrusions to Zip Mate zippers
- Set up jobs utilizing the proper installation of dies, adapters, breaker plates, and screen packs
- Inspect final products to ensure compliance with Eaton’s quality standards
- Ensure continuous and efficient production by preparing the extruder and downstream equipment for the next job in line
- Clean screw installation and maintain an organized workspace surrounding the equipment
- Complying with all Environment, Health, & Safety (EHS) standards
- Complying with all work and process instructions
- Identifying improvement opportunities
- Utilizing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for each task associated with the job
- Working safely and reporting all near misses, illnesses, and injuries following established procedures
- Completing any initial or recurring training issued by the site or Eaton
Required Qualifications
- A minimum one (1) year of experience in an operations/manufacturing environment
- Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- Eaton will not consider applicants for immigration sponsorship or support for this position
- No relocation benefit is offered. Only candidates residing within 50 miles of Williamsport, MD will be considered
- Experience in a plastics or extrusion operations/manufacturing environment
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs
- Basic computer and software skills
