Summary:
As a Panel Operator, you monitor and program computer terminals, operate related equipment, and guide feed through the production process to ensure precise formulation and delivery. You manage micro ingredient additions, fat application, and both computerized and manual grinding systems to support consistent quality, efficiency, and performance in every batch.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 4:00pm-12:00am.
- Monitor batching, grinding, and pelleting terminals and associated equipment to ensure efficient, timely mixing of raw feed ingredients and production of high-quality feed.
- Follow all food safety, breeder, NAE, and NICARB program procedures.
- Ensure feeds are produced according to the specified formulas.
- Perform maintenance and cleaning of equipment as required.
- Communicate effectively with Quality Control, Mill Management, and Maintenance personnel.
- Conduct feed sampling as needed.
- Coordinate feed production with dispatchers regarding feed orders and available bin space.
- Minimum
Education and Experience:
High School or equivalent; 2 years’ experience; reading, writing, and math skills. - Preferred
Education and Experience:
Basic computer skills and a mechanical background.
- Occasional exposure to outside environmental temperatures.
- Significant time spent in a stationary position with visual observations; occasional bending, stooping, or climbing.
- Able to lift 100 lbs.
- Exposed to ingredient dust and high noise levels.
- Must wear required personal protective equipment per Company policy.
