The Cooker Operator is responsible for operating PLC controls to manage machinery, monitoring pumps and grinders to ensure quality assurance.

• Always conduct yourself in a safe and controlled manner
• Blow grease lines as required
• Clean up, including shoveling the floor, hosing floors and machinery, and using wheelbarrows and PITs
• Operate the cooking process within selected parameters
• Document plant operations per the GMP program
• Notify the shift manager of any issues or maintenance problems
• Attend all safety meetings
• Perform all other duties as assigned

• Must be 18 years of age or older

• Manufacturing, industrial, or agricultural experience
• Prior experience in a rendering facility or production environment
• High School diploma or GED
• Collaborative team player
• Dependable and reliable; able to work nights and/or weekends as needed

• Exposure to high noise levels, strong odors, heat, and cold
• Exposure to bio‑hazardous conditions
• Exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals requiring strict safety measures
• Exposure to electrical hazards and risk of shock
• Handling or working with potentially dangerous equipment
• Travel to off‑site locations as required
• Weight and force demands up to 25 pounds occasionally
• No special vision requirements beyond the ability to detect hazardous conditions
