Powder Coating Technician (1st and 2nd Shifts!)
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour (+$2/hr shift differential) Job Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM and 5:30pm-3:30am

We are seeking a detail-oriented Powder Coating Technician to join a growing manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in powder coating, industrial painting, metal finishing, or a related manufacturing environment. This position offers a four-day workweek, competitive pay, and the opportunity to transition into a permanent role with excellent benefits.
Responsibilities- Prepare metal parts for coating, including cleaning, degreasing, sandblasting, masking, and proper racking
- Operate powder coating equipment including spray guns, booths, and curing ovens
- Apply powder coatings according to job specifications and quality standards
- Monitor coating thickness, consistency, and overall finish quality
- Load and unload materials from curing ovens and conveyors
- Inspect finished products for defects, uneven coverage, contamination, or color variation
- Perform touch-ups and rework as needed to meet quality requirements
- Maintain production documentation and quality records
- Clean and maintain powder coating equipment and work areas
- Follow all safety procedures and properly use required PPE
- Assist with inventory tracking of coating materials and supplies
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to improve processes and resolve issues
- Experience in powder coating, industrial painting, metal finishing, or manufacturing environments preferred
- Familiarity with powder coating equipment and application techniques
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, specifications, and technical instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Basic understanding of quality inspections and manufacturing standards
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
Physical Requirements
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift
- Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds
- Work in a manufacturing environment while following established safety protocols
