The Sanitation Technician is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of production equipment, facility areas, and tools in accordance with SSOPs, GMPs, and company standards. This role supports food safety and quality initiatives while ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
Essential Duties- Clean and sanitize areas as assigned: production lines, equipment, floors, walls, and facility areas per SSOP and Master Cleaning Schedule.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, genie booms, and automated floor scrubbers.
- Use and handle cleaning chemicals safely and effectively.
- Perform self-inspections and document sanitation activities accurately.
- Maintain sanitation logs and report any damage or unsafe conditions.
- Support food safety and quality programs by identifying and reporting deviations.
- Assist with packing, sorting, and material handling as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols and GMPs.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and cross-training.
- Ability to read and follow SOPs and chemical labels.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic math and reading comprehension.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- High school diploma preferred.
Base Pay Range: $16.36 - $27.26 Final base pay will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to; role responsibilities, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and/or internal pay equity. Please keep in mind that we consider internal pay equity and hiring at the maximum of the salary range uncommon.
