We currently operate in the States of Illinois, New York, Massachusetts, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Colorado and Michigan as a medical and/or adult use cannabis provider to patients and customers. Job Summary

This position is responsible for leading and supervising the Trim and Cure departments through effective leadership, communication, coordination, and training to achieve weekly production objectives in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner. This role oversees the processing of cannabis from harvest through the curing process to preparation for packaging, ensuring quality standards, productivity goals, and operational expectations are consistently met.

The Assistant Manager is responsible for guiding, developing, and instructing team members while maintaining departmental supplies, equipment, and organization. This role must lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, accountability, and a strong commitment to safety at all times. Reporting to the Manager of Post Harvest, the Assistant Manager will work collaboratively with all Post Production departments to ensure seamless workflow and maximize the effectiveness of harvesting, trimming, drying, curing, and packaging operations.

The salary is $67,500

Essential Functions/ Responsibilities Leadership Procedures & Tasks
  • Provide daily leadership, guidance, and direction to Trim and Cure team members to ensure production, productivity, quality, safety, and compliance goals are consistently achieved.
  • Supervise all aspects of the Trim and Cure operations, including workflow, staffing, production cadence, quality control, plant movement, drying and curing processes, and preparation of product for Packaging.
  • Assign, prioritize, and monitor daily work to ensure departmental objectives are completed accurately, efficiently, and within established timelines.
  • Support the Manager of Post Harvest with employee hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, attendance management, conflict resolution, and employee development.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication with team members and other departments to promote collaboration, operational efficiency, and a positive work environment.
  • Ensure all employees understand and adhere to company policies, SOPs, GMP standards, safety requirements, and compliance regulations. Adjust departmental practices as necessary to accommodate regulatory or operational changes.
  • Provide ongoing technical training and instruction to team members, adapting coaching methods based on employee development, product characteristics, R&D initiatives, and operational needs.
  • Maintain direct oversight of departmental operations to ensure employees are performing work safely, accurately, and efficiently while meeting established productivity and quality expectations.
  • Oversee all product movement, inventory accuracy, METRC transactions, weigh-ins, and required documentation within the Trim and Cure departments .Able to pivot as needed.
  • Monitor product quality throughout the trimming, curing, and post-harvest processes to ensure company quality standards are maintained before transfer to Packaging.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional departments to maintain efficient workflow and achieve facility production objectives.
  • Ensure department supplies, tools, machinery, drying chambers, and equipment are maintained, used properly, and kept in good working condition. Promptly communicate maintenance needs and operational concerns.
  • Escalate safety, security, compliance, plant health, equipment, or operational concerns through the appropriate leadership channels in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready work environment that complies with GMP standards and company expectations.
  • Assist with departmental and facility projects by helping define priorities, allocating resources, and completing deliverables on schedule and within budget.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the complete cultivation and post-harvest workflow and support operational decisions that improve efficiency and product quality.
  • Foster a culture of professionalism, accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Be prepared to assist other Post Production and Production departments as business needs require, including Packaging, Farm, sanitation, light maintenance, and other operational tasks.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the Manager of Post Harvest.
Workspace and Material Maintenance
  • Guide and train Post Harvest team members to maintain clean, organized, safe, and efficient work areas throughout the Trim and Cure departments in accordance with company standards and SOPs.
