Process Operator

Position Overview

Process Operators at Ingredion will be responsible for manufacturing, handling, and quality control of raw materials and finished products in a continuous operation facility in Belcamp, MD. The role reports to the Production Supervisor and works closely with other operators and maintenance personnel.

Hourly Rate: $26.53 per hour (includes applicable overtime)

Schedule: 12‑hour shifts, 3–4 days per week (Day 06 AM–06 PM and Night 06 PM–06 AM)

Quarterly Bonus: Eligible based on performance

• Operate mechanized equipment safely and efficiently within specifications.
• Monitor operations from the control room using computer systems.
• Sample and test products to ensure quality standards.
• Load and unload trucks, railcars, and bags; prepare containers as needed.
• Perform physical tasks such as moving hoses, cleaning equipment, and filling tanks.
• Maintain inventory and handle chemicals appropriately.
• Continuously learn and perform other duties as required.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Strong communication and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Computer literacy; SAP experience is a plus.

• Remove fingernail coverings, rings, jewelry (except a plain wedding band or medical alert jewelry), and hairpieces that cannot be covered by a hairnet or beard net.
• Physically capable of lifting 50 lb, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.
• Flexible and able to work holidays, weekends, and rotating shifts.
• Mechanically inclined with problem‑solving skills.
• Forklift certified or willing to obtain certification.
