Location: Hurlock
Hot Chop / Production Worker / General Labor
Position Summary
Work in a food manufacturing and production environment. Handle food products, including hot peppers and ingredients with strong odors. Support production, packaging, palletizing, and material handling operations. Work both in production areas and outdoor environments as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Work on high-speed production lines processing food products.
- Box, stack, and package finished products.
- Load and unload products into production machinery.
- Palletize products and securely wrap pallets for storage or shipment.
- Handle and move boxes weighing 15-20 lbs.
- Feed materials and products into production equipment.
- Open boxes containing empty glass bottles and load them into production machines.
- Remove finished products from production lines and prepare them for shipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area throughout the shift.
- Follow all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and food safety requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in warehouse, production, manufacturing, or general labor environments.
- Ability to stand and work for extended shifts of 10-12 hours.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team on fast-paced production lines.
- Ability to lift and move up to 15-20 lbs regularly.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Commitment to workplace cleanliness and safety standards.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in food manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with palletizing, packaging, and material handling processes.
- Comfortable working around strong food odors, including garlic, jalapeños, salsa, and taco sauce.
Physical Requirements
- Continuous standing and walking during shifts.
- Frequent lifting, carrying, stacking, and palletizing activities.
- Ability to perform repetitive production tasks.
- Comfortable working in warm environments near production equipment and machinery.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hurlock, MD.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
