Powder Processor
We are seeking a dedicated Powder Processor to join our team in manufacturing ceramic pieces for cell phones and other electronics. The role involves measuring and loading ceramic powder and water into mixers, requiring accuracy in portion measurement and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day. The work can be dusty and occasionally wet, so candidates must be prepared for these conditions.
Multiple shifts are available, and training will be provided on the first shift for 2-3 months.
- Produce custom ceramic powders through various powder processing tasks.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date batch records.
- Perform in-process tests.
- Read and follow written instructions and safety protocols.
- Dry raw material powders into blending tanks and milling vessels to create homogeneous mixtures.
- Operate drying ovens and load dry mixtures into ceramic saggers for thermal processing.
- Spray dry ceramic slurry mixtures.
- Clean all processing equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to regularly lift 50-60 lbs.
- Ability to work in wet processing conditions.
- Maintain accurate records electronically and written.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong math and computer skills.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to interpret process instructions.

Work EnvironmentThe work environment is primarily an ISO-certified, fast-paced industrial manufacturing setting. Dress code is casual but protective attire may be required due to the dusty and wet conditions.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Adamstown, MD.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
