Position OverviewThe Production Associate is a versatile, cross-functional team member responsible for supporting Shipping & Receiving, Manufacturing, and Chemistry Laboratory operations. This role ensures the efficient movement of parts and products (incoming, inbound, and outgoing), execution of manufacturing production activities, and organization/support in our chemistry laboratory while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and capable of working collaboratively across multiple departments to meet operational goals and customer requirements.
Shipping& Receiving Responsibilities
- Receive incoming materials; and determine correct course of action and delivery to appropriate locations.
- Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies and report any damage.
- Label, store, and organize inventory.
- Prepare outgoing shipments and complete shipping documentation.
- Pick, seal Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using work devices such as hand tools, power tools, and postage meter.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material-handling equipment.
- Maintain inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
- Perform manufacturing duties to include making liners, shutters and cables, ignition bulbs, screens, and various other parts assemblies.
- Basic wiring techniques, including cutting, termination, soldering and crimping wire.
- Kitting parts such as, magnetrons, RF screens, and reflectors.
- Assist with receiving, labeling, and storing chemicals and laboratory supplies.
- Perform basic laboratory tests following Work Instructions and under direction of Senor Principal Scientist.
- Maintained accurate records of laboratory inventory, supplies, and waste disposal activities.
- Keep laboratory areas, equipment, and chemicals clean and organized.
- Collect, sort, and dispose of chemical waste according to safety and environmental regulations.
- Store and Organize SDS information.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Move between departments based on staffing and workload needs.
- Support warehouse, manufacturing, and laboratory operations as assigned.
- Maintain accurate records including inventory, in company's business systems.
- Participate in safety training and compliance activities.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse, materials, manufacturing, and laboratory staff.
- Assist with continuous improvement and housekeeping initiatives.
- Basic knowledge of the use of hand tools, power tools.
- Basic knowledge of shop math and measuring instruments.
- Familiarity with power tools and their safe operation.
- Ability to read or learn to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask and switch activities upon request.
- Must have exceptional organizational skills.
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
