Batching team members are responsible for effectively working with their team to follow daily work instructions.

The Batching Department blends prepared andpurchasedraw materials and delivers bulkproductsto the Packaging

Department.

Team members handle food ingredients,follow recipes, document traceability,operate washing, chopping,pumping and mixing equipment,whilst following food quality and safety standards to ensurethe safe andtimelyproduction of healthy food.

• Assistin settingup the Ingredient
  
  Prep.and Batching areas
• Prepare raw materials for processing, including de-casing, inspecting, washing,sizereducingand portioning.
• Prepare, properly label,and stageraw materials for downstream processes.
• Safelyoperateprocess equipment with supervision including wash tanks, product conveyors, drum/tote unloaders,size reduction equipment, pumps, buggy dumpers and mixing systems.
• Assistwithgeneral sanitation activities, including breakdown of variousequipmentfollowing product changeovers and at the end of the production shift.
• Work as part of a team to ensuretimelyand efficient production. Embrace collective ambition.
• Prepare and review documentation (written or digital) asrequiredfor food safety, quality, and production tracking activities.
• Adhere to anddemonstrateto team members all safety guidelines (both personnel and food safety-related) and Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Abide by policies and procedures that support the service mindset
• Manage timeline expectations within and across teams, deliver on our responsibilities accordingly
• Earn the trust of Team Members and Managers by consistently embracing CAVA’s values
• Show discipline in bringing consistent performance, communication, and attitude to the job every day
• Actively contribute to your department in order to complete tasks and meet company goals
