Marketing Strategist

Location:

Hanover, MD (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) Compensation: $70,000–$85,000/year

One of our clients is seeking a strategic, versatile marketer to join its marketing team. This role is central to building meaningful connections between the company's brand and its key audiences through compelling content and communications. The ideal candidate is a skilled storyteller who can translate complex topics into clear, engaging narratives — developing and editing content across thought leadership articles, customer success stories, digital campaigns, advertising, and website experiences.

Success requires strong research, interviewing, writing, and editing skills, along with the ability to partner effectively with subject matter experts and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Write original content and edit existing content that is readable, compelling, and optimized for SEO
• Recommend and develop content ideas in collaboration with team members and subject matter experts
• Conduct research and facilitate interviews with relevant stakeholders
• Manage multiple projects while adhering to production schedules and strict timelines
• Coordinate with creative and digital teams on production and publication
• Analyze performance indicators and analytics to assess content effectiveness
• Ensure all final content adheres to brand and style standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
• 3–4 years of relevant experience
• Experience in copywriting and copy editing
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Highly detail-oriented and organized
• Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Creative yet practical mindset, with the ability to turn concepts into practical application
• Basic knowledge of digital marketing, campaign development, and SEO
