JOB DESCRIPTIONInterested in politics and government? Matt McLaughlin, a longtime Somerville City Councilor, is running for Massachusetts State Senate in the Second Middlesex District, focused on keeping communities affordable for all residents. This fellowship provides practical hands‑on experience in voter outreach and campaign operations in a highly competitive race.
This is an entry level unpaid opportunity.
In this position you may:
- Conduct door-to-door canvasses and speak with voters to get out the vote
- Make phone calls and send texts in our outreach program to persuade voters to support Matt
- Recruit, train, and manage volunteers
- Organize and staff campaign events
- Work with staffers to hit campaign-wide goals
