The ideal candidate will have a clear testimony of salvation in Jesus Christ and a passion for shepherding God’s people. The Senior Pastor will serve as an elder and work with a unified leadership team of three elders and three deacons
.

• Preaching and teaching Scripture clearly, accurately, and in a spiritually nourishing way
• Providing pastoral care through counseling, visitation, and encouragement
• Officiating weddings, funerals, and baptisms
• Leading community outreach to help CGBC engage and bless our neighbors
• Equipping the saints to fulfill the Great Commission
• Serving collaboratively with the church board in unity and harmony

This role is ideal for a pastor who loves people, values unity, and wants to build a thriving ministry rooted in Scripture and empowered by the Holy Spirit.

We are seeking a pastor who demonstrates:

• The ability to communicate Biblical truth simply, accurately, and effectively
• A shepherd’s heart that helps the congregation grow in Christ
• Strong organizational, administrative, and management skills
• A desire to work in unity with the church board
• A commitment to prayer, discipleship, and evangelism
