Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate LPN to join our team at Laurelwood Nursing and Rehab Center in Elkton, MD. As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents and their families.

About the Role

As an LPN at Laurelwood Nursing and Rehab Center, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to our residents with a range of needs. Your responsibilities will include administering medications, performing vital signs, and assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs). You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and assisting with ADLs
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
  • Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team and other healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care and treatment
  • Assist with resident transfers, ambulations, and other mobility needs
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the nursing team and management
Requirements
  • Currently licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Maryland or Compact License
  • No experience in a long-term care or post-acute care setting required (new graduates welcome to apply!)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
