• ANursingdegreefromanaccreditedcollegeoruniversity.
• Currentunrestrictedlicenseasa Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) inpracticingstate.
• CurrentCPRcertification.
• Directsthedailyactivitiesofthegeriatricnursingassistantsbycurrentfederal,state,andlocalregulationsandguidelines,andestablishedfacilitypoliciesandprocedures.
• Followsthenursingmodeltopromoteholisticcarefortheresidents.
• Participatesintheadmission,discharge,andtransfersofresidentsasrequired.
• Assessesforchangesinresidents’status,notifyingthephysicianandresident’sfamilyorrepresentativeanddocumentingaccordingly.
• Transcribesphysicianorderstothemedicalrecordandcarriesoutordersaswritten.
