Location: Laurel
Registered Nurse (RN) – Post Surgery General Department
Shady Grove Medical Center seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our Post Surgery General Department.
Responsibilities- Educate patients and families through the continuum of care, advancing their knowledge and skills with guidance from senior nurses and the Clinical Nurse Manager.
- Serve as a role model to Level I nurses and use electronic resources to support best practices in patient care.
- Demonstrate professionalism, adhere to ANA standards of practice, and exemplify Adventist Health Care values in nursing mission and vision.
- Use equipment and technology correctly, delegate non‑nursing duties appropriately, and maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop a plan of care according to patient population.
- Identify impending changes in patient condition accurately and initiate corrective action.
- Mentor students, colleagues, and team members in patient‑centered care.
- Conduct purposeful rounding from patient and family perspective.
- Conduct efficient literature searches and apply findings appropriately to practice.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical care and participate in evidence‑based changes of practice.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Passing score on NCLEX.
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required.
- Current Maryland State nursing license.
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty area.
- Employment Type:
Full‑time - Hours per Week: 36 hrs/week

6:45 a.m.–7:15 p.m., Monday through Friday - Shift Type:
