Position: CRITICAL CARE TECH - ICU
Location: Stoakley

Assists the nursing staff and/or the physician/physician's assistant in the delivery of patient care.

Education

Position requires a high school diploma or GED.

Registration/Certification/Licensure

CNA License

Experience

Position requires0- 6 months equivalent combination of education and experience in related area.

Other Requirements

Maintains unit specific and hospital competencies in accordance with policy requirements

Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES Principle Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assists patients with activities of daily living using proper body mechanics or lifting devices
  • Performs clerical and/or supply replenishment duties
  • Performs basic procedures according to the technical skills list under the direction/supervision of the RN
  • Communicates data/observations to the RN
  • Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals
