The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to patients.

• Collaborate with inter‑professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge, using appropriate age and population‑specific standards as designated in the assigned clinical setting.
• Provide care for patients in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow‑up across the continuum of care.
• Plan and coordinate care, perform patient assessment, offer patient education, triage, and execute various nursing interventions.
• Function within the scope and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and administrative rules of the state of practice and licensure.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (AACN, ACEN, or NLN CNEA) required;
  Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred.
• Unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where practiced, or valid multistate licensure in a Nurse Licensure Compact state.
• Maintain required department‑specific competencies and certifications.
