Requirements&Responsibilities:
- ANursingdegreefromanaccreditedcollegeoruniversity.
- Currentunrestrictedlicenseasa Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) inthepracticingstate.
- CurrentCPRcertification.
- Directsthedailyactivitiesofthegeriatricnursingassistantsbycurrentfederal,state,andlocalregulationsandguidelinesandestablishedfacilitypoliciesandprocedures.
- Followsthenursingmodeltopromoteholisticcarefortheresidents.
- Ensuresthatpoliciesandproceduresarecompliedwithbytheassignednursingpersonnel.
- Participatesintheadmission,discharge,andtransfersofresidentsasrequired.
- Assessesforchangesinresidents’status,notifyingthephysicianandresident’sfamilyorrepresentativeanddocumentingaccordingly.
- Transcribesphysicianorderstothemedicalrecordandcarriesoutordersaswritten.
