American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring general OR and DaVinci robotics experience along with the ability to scrub and circulate.

• Work in the Operating Room of a Level II Trauma center
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• 1:1 patient ratio
• General OR cases including trauma, uro, podiatry, ortho, plastics, neuro, gyn, endoscopy, ENT, thoracic, vascular, cardio, and bariatric procedures
• DaVinci robotics experience required
• Evening shift, 5x8 hours, 14:45-23:15
• Epic EMR required
• Rotational weekend coverage required, inclusive of on-call shifts
• On-call required approximately 5-6 times per 4-week period, including one weekend call
• Weekday/weeknight on-call runs from end of shift to 6:30 am the following morning
• Weekend on-call is a 24-hour shift
• Must be able to arrive within 30 minutes of being called in
• Floating required within specialty and to a sister campus as needed

• Active RN license (Maryland or Compact) required
• BLS certification required (AHA only); ACLS preferred (AHA only)
• CNOR and NIHSS certifications preferred
• Minimum 2-3 years of OR experience required, with strong candidates considered at 2 years
• Community hospital experience required
• Teaching hospital and Level I Trauma experience preferred
• Charge RN experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Strong general OR and robotics experience required
• Skilled in both scrubbing and circulating

• Perform circulating and scrubbing duties across a wide range of surgical specialties
• Provide surgical support for trauma, gynecology, plastics, neurology, orthopedic, cardiovascular, general, vascular, endoscopic, urology, ENT, podiatry, and bariatric procedures
• Utilize equipment including cell saver, electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, and Hana table
• Adhere to emergency management protocols including code response, fire safety, and malignant hyperthermia procedures
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply if they have strong general OR and robotics experience
