- Manage episodic and chronic conditions with walk-ins and same-day appointments as the sole advanced practice provider for ages 2 and up.
- Perform physicals such as sports, DOT, pre-employment, and annual.
- Evaluate patients for workers’ compensation injuries.
- Evaluating, diagnosing, and treating acute illnesses and injuries
- Performing procedures such as suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and wound care
- Ordering and independently interpreting diagnostic tests, including X-rays, laboratory work, and 12-lead EKGs
- Prescribing medications and therapies in accordance with Maryland regulations and clinic protocols
- Educating patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care
- Accurately and efficiently documenting patient encounters
- Collaborating with clinical and operational team members to provide a convenient, caring, and high-quality patient experience
- Active and unrestricted Maryland Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license, or eligibility to obtain one
- Current certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- At least two years of clinical experience as an FNP or PA-C
- Active DEA registration, or ability to obtain one
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Ability to perform common urgent care procedures, including suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and wound care
- Ability to independently interpret X-rays and other diagnostic test results
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient-service skills
- Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, primary care, family medicine, or internal medicine
- Experience practicing in a fast-paced or high-volume clinical environment
