About This Role

The Operating Room Nurse provides quality patient care in accordance with nursing philosophy and regulatory laws, functioning as a scrub or circulating nurse in various surgical specialties.

• Pay: $66 - $83/hour
• Location: Timonium, MD
• Facility: Kaiser Permanente
• Schedule: Full Time

• Utilize the standard of care in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the surgical patient.
• Direct the coordination of efforts of the OR team members in rendering perioperative nursing care.
• Develop a perioperative nursing care plan for each surgical patient.
• Ensure a safe supportive environment for staff, physicians, and patients.
• Assemble and communicate appropriate information in verbal or written reports.
• Maintain current skill and knowledge of surgical procedures and principles of sterile techniques.
• Execute proper use, care, handling, and processing of equipment, supplies, and instrumentation.
• Participate in the operating room Quality Assurance program.
• Promote personal and professional growth by actively participating in continuing education programs.
• Participate in the professionalism of the Operating Room by showing courtesy, compassion, respect, and adherence to standards.
