American Traveler is hiring a PACU RN for a 13-week day shift assignment requiring MD or compact RN license and 2+ years of PACU experience.
Details- PACU unit with 16 rooms/beds
- Day shift, 3x12 hours (07:30-20:00), 36 hours per week
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Patient population ranges from pediatrics to geriatrics
- Diagnoses include orthopedic, neurology, cardiothoracic surgery, vascular surgery, general surgery, thoracic surgery, urology, and gynecology
- Every other weekend required (2 weekends per schedule cycle)
- Floating required within specialty, rotating with pre-op for this contract
- May also float to a sister facility as needed
- On-call not currently implemented for this unit
- Active RN license (Maryland or Compact)
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required
- First-time travelers accepted with strong 3-5 years of PACU experience or 2 years of ICU experience
- Provide post-anesthesia nursing care across a wide range of surgical specialties
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Holiday coverage required as scheduled
- First-time travelers welcome to apply with sufficient relevant experience
