THIS POSITION IS INCUMBENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD

Longeviti LLC is searching for a Quality Control Specialist with an active Top Secret clearance and at least five (5) years of progressive experience in logistics quality assurance or quality control to support the DIA in the National Capital Region (NCR) and other CONUS DIA sites.

Description
  • Leads quality assurance and continuous improvement for warehouse operations in compliance with Government requirements. Develops and enforces quality control processes across receiving, storage, inventory, and distribution activities, while standardizing SOPs and training personnel on procedures and accountability.
  • Collaborates with Government stakeholders to resolve quality issues, conduct audits and inspections, and implement corrective actions. Analyzes operational data to improve performance, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with safety, security, and regulatory standards.
  • Oversees equipment inspections and preventive maintenance and supports warehouse improvement initiatives by validating quality and operational readiness.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement and maintain quality assurance protocols tailored to the Government’s requirements for warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, inventory management, deliveries and other services specified in the PWS and PCM/SOP.
  • Develop/coordinate training for contractor personnel on SOPs, inspection procedures, property accountability, and documentation standards. Standardize SOPs and checklists across sites/locations.
  • Collaborate with the Government warehouse management to resolve quality-related issues and develop actionable plans to prevent recurrence.
  • Promote continuous process improvement by establishing mechanisms to solicit, document, and evaluate feedback from warehouse personnel and Government stakeholders, and by implementing Government-approved improvement actions, as required.
  • Conduct and assist the government with audits and inspections of warehouse operations to verify compliance with internal key controls and external regulations.
  • Collect data and reconcile on inventory accuracy, order fulfilment, and operational performance.
  • Analyze this data to identify areas for improvement and communicate results to the Government for approval.
  • Maintain accurate records that include, but are not limited to, quality inspections, audits, and corrective actions taken, to demonstrate compliance with completeness and existence requirements.
  • Validate compliance with safety and security requirements impacting quality (e.g., hazmat packaging, secure storage, controlled access, chain of custody documentation), coordinating with Government SMEs as required.
  • Conduct weekly inspections and preventive maintenance on warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, fleet, racks and handling tools), ensure optimal functionality, safety compliance, and immediate resolution of any defects to prevent disruptions in warehouse operations.
  • Lead pre-final and final walkthroughs for warehouse improvements projects (e.g., layout optimizations, racking installations, or automation upgrades) to verify compliance with specifications, quality standards, and stakeholder requirements, ensuring seamless integration into the warehouse processes.
Required Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Competencies
  • Minimum five (5) years of progressive experience in material and logistical quality assurance/quality control experience in logistics, facilities services, warehouse operations, or commercial moving/property handling.
  • Experience performing inspections and documenting compliance for service operations (e.g., condition assessments, damage prevention, packing/handling, delivery verification).
  • Ability to implement and maintain checklists, inspection logs, nonconformance reports, corrective/preventive actions (CAPA), and records retention.
  • Familiarity with property accountability documentation and chain-of-custody style controls (e.g., signoffs, turn-in forms).
