• SA-TECH currently supports the Naval Air Warfare Center (NAWCAD) Naval Air Systems Command, and the NAWCAD Webster Outlying Field Divisions by providing rapid organic engineering, prototyping, reverse‑engineering, environmental testing, antenna repairs and life‑cycle extensions, and production capabilities.
• We are currently looking to hire a Quality Control Supervisor with a background in manufacturing or fabrication at our St. Inigoes, MD facilities to implement quality control and safety plans to ensure compliance with contract specifications and applicable regulations. We are a prototyping environment supporting the US Navy with shipboard antenna development and fabrication.

The following job functions are basic requirements (but other duties may be assigned as well):

• Reports to the Program Manager for all Quality Management System (QMS) performance on the program and leads the tasking and priorities of Quality Control Inspectors on contract.
• Interfaces with the customer regarding the production QMS to ensure local processes and procedures are aligned with contract QA/QC requirements.
• Ensures all services listed on the performance requirement summary are performed in a satisfactory manner.
• Specifies areas to be inspected (scheduled and unscheduled) and how often inspections will be accomplished.
• Communicates deficiencies to proper persons, maintains Quality Control files, and documents results of all inspections.
• Conducts thorough reviews of quality requirements to identify the controls, processes, skills, fixtures, tools, and test equipment necessary to assure product quality.
• Updates inspection and testing techniques, instrumentation, and manufacturing methods and processes.
• Implements quality control and safety plans to ensure compliance with contract specifications and applicable regulations.
• Inspects all phases of a variety of goods, services, or operation for conformity to established quality, health and safety, and other operational standards by performing ongoing work for compliance with contractual provisions.

• Conditions will vary but most work will be conducted indoors.
• Position will include: 45% standing, 20% bending, 15% reaching, 5% sitting, 5% walking, and 10% lifting.
• The environment may get loud and PPE gear may be required at times.

Education/Experience/

Skills:

• Bachelor's degree or a qualifying substitution in an engineering, technical, or business discipline.
  • Alternatively, six (6) years of relevant experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.
  • An Associate's degree and four (4) years of relevant experience may also be substituted for the Bachelor's degree.
• SA-TECH will consider more senior individuals for this role as well.
• Three (3) years of relevant experience directly related to the Department of Defense (DoD) is mandatory.
• A background in Manufacturing or Fabrication is highly desired.
