It operates dozens of active test and training ranges for the Army, Air Force and Navy and has 34 years of experience delivering high quality services and customer satisfaction.

SA-TECH currently supports the Naval Air Warfare Center (NAWCAD) and the NAWCAD Webster Outlying Field Divisions with rapid engineering, prototyping, reverse‑engineering, environmental testing, antenna repairs, life‑cycle extensions and production capabilities.

We are hiring a Quality Control Inspector at our St. Inigoes, MD facilities to implement quality control and safety plans ensuring compliance with contract specifications and applicable regulations. This is a manufacturing environment, not an aircraft QC/QA position, and the tools are different than aircraft QC.

Responsibilities
  • Inspects all phases of goods, services, or operations for conformity to established quality, health and safety, and other operational standards by performing ongoing work for compliance with contractual provisions.
  • Implements quality control and safety plans to ensure compliance with contract specifications and applicable regulations.
  • Ensures all services listed on the performance requirement summary are performed satisfactorily.
  • Specifies areas to be inspected (scheduled and unscheduled) and how often inspections will be accomplished.
  • Communicates deficiencies to proper persons, maintains Quality Control files, and documents results of all inspections.
  • Conducts thorough reviews of quality requirements to identify the controls, processes, skills, fixtures, tools, and test equipment necessary to assure product quality.
  • Updates inspection and testing techniques, instrumentation, and manufacturing methods and processes.
Work Conditions
  • Conditions will vary but most work will be conducted indoors.
  • Position includes 45% standing, 20% bending, 15% reaching, 5% sitting, 5% walking, and 10% lifting.
Requirements

Education/Experience/Skills

  • HS Diploma, formal technical training a plus.
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience inspecting to design specifications, either as a QC inspector or fabrication technician responsible for inspecting projects for compliance with design tolerances.
  • Prior QC Inspector experience desired.
  • Proficient with measuring tools and equipment used to perform quality control and compliance inspections of manufactured parts and materials.
  • Current Maryland Driver's License required; must be able to be insured through the company’s vehicle insurance policy while driving work or government vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment.
  • U.S. Citizenship required and must already have or be able to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance prior to start date and maintain a Secret clearance throughout employment.
  • All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include SSN, Driver Record, and Criminal Background Investigation.
