Position Summary

The Quality Control Inspector will be required to comprehend specifications to determine testing/inspection procedures and equipment. Must read dials and displays, compare results with specifications, record test data, and confer with engineers, technicians, and production personnel. Must perform electrical and visual verifications on printed circuit boards, cables, and assemblies to acceptance criteria, identify non‑conforming material, and document non‑conformance reports and materials.

Ability to work with general instruction and supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Perform incoming, in‑process and final inspection on products and assemblies.
  • Read drawings, comprehend specifications and tolerances, read dial indicators and digital gauges, compare results with specifications, record test data, and confer with engineers, technicians, and production personnel as necessary.
  • Perform electrical checks and visual verifications of components and assemblies to acceptance criteria.
  • Use measurement, test equipment and functional gauges to determine if product meets all stated requirements.
  • Validate quality components and assemblies in terms of accuracy and visual verification according to acceptance criteria.
  • Review data supplied with parts such as dimensional reports, traceability reports, electrical test reports and certificates of conformity against acceptance criteria.
  • Apply a range of techniques and standards under general instruction.
  • Interact and communicate professionally with peers and technicians.
  • Ensure calibrated measuring equipment is used for inspections.
  • Fill out non‑conforming material reports and other required records of inspection and tests.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2‑3 years of experience or equivalent education and experience, including:
    • Electrical inspection and electronic troubleshooting using multimeters and similar electrical test equipment.
    • Basic mechanical inspection with calipers, micrometers, etc.
    • Basic knowledge of IPC 610 & 620 standards.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Email).
  • Blueprint reading skills and ability to interpret wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Knowledge of basic mathematics, inspection, measuring and test equipment, materials and processes, and inspection technology.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Ability to obtain a government security clearance.
  • Certification in IPC standards (desired).
Working Conditions
  • Generally performed indoors (80%) and occasional outdoors (20%).
  • Requires manual dexterity, use of measuring and testing equipment.
  • Frequently working on or near moving equipment and vibrating equipment.
  • Outdoors, humidity often above 90%.
  • Noise over 85 decibels.
  • Intense glare lighting.
  • Occasional exposure to open fire, flames, sparks.
  • Frequent exposure to airborne dust, fumes, gases and contaminants.
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures (above 90 °F or below 32 °F).
  • Physical demands: lifting, reaching, stooping; reasonable accommodations may be made.
  • Hybrid—remote with required commuting to a designated office.
Pay, Benefits, and Work Schedule

Hourly pay: $33.22 – $49.86. Benefits may include health and wellness, mental health, retirement savings, life and disability, paid maternity and parental leave, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and an employee assistance program.
