quality assurance technician i department: quality assurance reports to: director of quality assurance classification: non-exempt primary function under direct supervision, the quality assurance technician i will perform and document inspections of manufacturing products and materials. Major duties and responsibilities
* perform inspection of manufactured parts and assemblies to provided data packages
* document inspection results on approved forms
* perform incoming inspection on raw material and outsourced processes
* review and signoff on redlined drawings and engineering change requests
* perform other duties as assigned basic requirements:
* high school diploma and 0-2 years of experience in manufacturing quality
* able to read and understand engineering drawings
* use of basic inspection tools (i.e. Calipers / gauge blocks / thread gauges /micrometers)
* strong communication skills, including the ability to explain results and methodologies
* ability to obtain a security clearance preferred qualifications
* associate's degree in related field physical requirements
* ability to stand at a workstation for prolonged periods of time
* ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
